Mr. Lahoucine Khabid was born in Southern Morocco and is a graduate of the University of Arkansas in the USA, Utrecht University in the Netherlands, as well as Kwazulu-Natal University in South Africa. Lahoucine is the founder of Atlas Center for Diplomatic Studies in Morocco where he serves his community promoting youth and female empowerment as well as promoting interfaith dialogue. He is a regular guest for local and regional media debates regarding the conflict in the Western Sahara region. Lahoucine was nominated in 2015 by the renowned
Crans-Montana Forum in Switzerland as a Young Leader of Tomorrow.
Lahoucine is a founding member, together with eminent former President of Romania, H.E. Emil Constantinescu, and other UN diplomats, of the Multi Track Council for SDGs and the Culture of Peace in New York.
Lahoucine currently lectures at Cadi Ayyad University in Marrakesh, Morocco.
